In case anyone else is experiencing this situation, here's the solution.

The recommendation for one of the listowners/listmasters is "nobody".  If the
aliases file has the following:

##################################
# General redirections for pseudo accounts.
bin:            root
daemon:         root
nobody:               root
##################################
Change the nobody line to:
nobody: /dev/null

Repeat on the above.
