I would think you could also set up multiple queues in sendmail, couldn't
you?
Something like this in your mc:
define(QUEUE_DIR,`/var/spool/mqueue/q*')
Then do this:
# cd /var/spool/mqueue
# mkdir q0 q1 q2 q3 q4 q5 q6 q7 q8 q9
# chown root.mail q0 q1 q2 q3 q4 q5 q6 q7 q8 q9
# chmod 755 q0 q1 q2 q3 q4 q5 q6 q7 q8 q9
There are some mods you could do to the time waits on the SMTP
conversation that would likely also speed things up...but I haven't tried
either of these things.
Anyone tried something like this?
