After a week of trying to set up a digest version of my list, I still
can't get it to do anything. I've read the FAQ and the README, read
dozens of posts in the archives, printed out the digest.1 man page to
scrutinize.
I've made aliases, changed them, changed them back. I've created
directories and files and configured 'til my fingers are cramped, and
still nothing happens. When I send a mkdigest command to majordomo
the only result I get is a repeat of my command.
I've always considered myself a pretty bright guy, able to follow
directions, but I also realize that the last programming I did
outside of HTML was a brief foray into Dr. LOGO years ago, so I know
the directions are there, but I just don't understand them.
Is there a place where I can go read digest directions written for
non-programmers? Or can someone here translate the directions for
morons like me? I would surely appreciate any pointers.
