Hi all,
I just migrated to a new box which came with sendmail that
has smrsh enabled. I'm running:
majordomo 1.94.5
perl-5.00503-10
sendmail-8.9.3-20
RH 6.2
I put a soft link in /etc/smrsh to /home/majordomo/wrapper.
I'm running majordomo as majordomo and daemon I've got Tdaemon
in my sendmail.cf Majordomo is in the daemon group
permissions are:
/home
drwxrwxr-x 8 majordom daemon 4096 Jan 6 14:46 majordomo
/home/majordomo
drwxr-xr-x 2 majordom daemon 4096 Jan 2 17:31 Tools
-rwxr-xr-x 1 majordom daemon 5267 Jan 6 02:57 archive2.pl

drwxrwxrwx 5 majordom daemon 4096 Jan 2 20:32 digests
drwxrwxrwx 8 majordom daemon 4096 Jan 6 14:51 lists
-rwxr-xr-x 1 majordom daemon 62511 Jan 6 02:57 majordomo

-rwxr-xr-x 1 majordom daemon 8060 Jan 6 02:57 shlock.pl
-rwsr-xr-x 1 root daemon 14870 Jan 6 04:25 wrapper
Everything in digests and lists is 777 (just for testing)
my log file is /var/
drwxrwxr-x 2 majordom daemon 4096 Jan 6 13:54 majordomo
and /var/majordomo
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root daemon 198 Jan 6 13:54 Log
(again I made it 777 for testing)
What am I missing here? Any mail to resend is going into the
bit bucket. There is nothing in /tmp. Archives and digests work
fine as do commands to majordomo itself (subscribe, lists, etc.)
This would suggest a problem with writing the mail for the individual
list to me.
The only thing I can think is that majordomo doesn't like the symlink
to /usr/sbin/sendmail or the symlink in /etc/smrsh and needs actual
executables there.
Here is my alias file for one list:
/etc/aliases
tten: "|/home/majordomo/wrapper resend -l tten -h cerebus.winsite.com tten-outgo
ing"
owner-tten: tten-owner
tten-request: "|/home/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l tten"
tten-digest: tten
tten-digest-outgoing: :include:/home/majordomo/lists/tten-digest
tten-outgoing: :include:/home/majordomo/lists/tten, tten-archive, tten-digestify
tten-digestify: "|/home/majordomo/wrapper digest -r -C -l tten-digest tten-dige
st-outgoing"
owner-tten-outgoing: tten-owner
tten-archive: "|/home/majordomo/wrapper archive2.pl -f /home/majordomo/lists/tte
n.archive/tten -m -a"
owner-tten-archive: tten-owner
owner-tten-request: tten-owner
tten-approval: tten-owner
tten-digest-approval: tten-owner
tten-owner: wsadler
owner-tten-owner: tten-owner
owner-tten-digest: tten-owner
owner-tten-digest-outgoing: tten-owner
My list is down and the users are grumbling! Any help is
appreciated.
Thanks,
Will
