I had this same problem - 1st) check permissions on the majordomo
directories - read /Doc/list-owner-info
2) sendmail does not like sharing permissions
drwxr-xr-x 2 majordom mail 4096 Jan 5 02:44 lists
****************************************
-rwxr-xr-x 1 majordom mail mailinglist#1
-rw-rw---- 1 majordom daemon mailinglist#1.config
-rw-r--r-- 1 majordom daemon mailinglist#2
-rwxr-xr-x 1 majordom mail walid-press-dist
Hope this helps - it helped me.
