Hi daniel,

an option could be an update of your MTA to the last release, or change it
for another MTA like qmail (it uses bulk_mail too) or exim.

We've noticed that lists with +10000 and above are hard to maintain and a
new
architecture is needed. With large lists consider to segment the main list
in several
sublists and, add some extra MTA hosts (lika a farm).

regards,
jules

Hi all!

I'm about to set up a list for about 65,000 subscribers. Maybe this is a
dumb question, but wil MD handle that ok? Or better yet, will sendmail
handle that? I already use bulk_mailer for a 25,000 subscriber list that I
have, and it's kind of hard to maintain (lots of bounces that I have to
resend manually). I have it set to send to 5 domains at a time (maxdoamins
5). I guess my question is, do any of you have any experience with such
large lists? And if so, can you give me any tips? Its kind of important that
this list goes out ok. The last thing I need is an MAJORDOMO ABORT!! error
going to everybody in the list. (Its happened before, and I thought I'd
never hear the end of it).

Thanks!
Daniel Ames
