Permissions.
Sendmail is picky about permissions (as it should be).
You have to make sure the proper perms are set on the Majordomo Directories
and Files (see below)
--------- Taken from a post by Denise Ives to the list on Monday 1/8/01-
I had this same problem - 1st) check permissions on the majordomo
directories - read /Doc/list-owner-info
2) sendmail does not like sharing permissions

Subject: New installation.. 95% works....
Hi,
First off, I am new to this list as of yesterday. I did try and look
through the FAQ and some archives but I was unable to find this problem
exactly. Also this is my first install of majordomo, and I would not
call myself a Linux guru... but I am sure I am just missing one small
thing :).
Majordomo does all of the following for me :
1. Answers requests for subscribing, unsubscribing, lists, etc.
2. Also sends new subscribers to me the owner.
But when I try to send a message to the actual list itself I get an
error:
The original message was received at Thu, 18 Jan 2001 17:03:42 -0500
from 208-0-42-146.zerowait.com [208.0.42.146] (may be forged)

"/usr/local/majordomo/lists/loadbalancing " is owned by group
majordomo.daemon and the owner is correct.. so I am not sure why this is
happening?
Also I am confused if maybe I am sending lists email to the wrong
aliase? I think I became confussed when the resend command was entered
in the aliase file.. so here is part of my aliase file as well:
# Mailing List
# DO NOT MODIFY
listmaster: "| /usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"
test: "| /usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -l test test-list"

:include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/loadbalancing

loadbalancing-request: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo -l

Sorry this is so long.. but I tried to include as much information as
possible :) Hopefully can get this fixed in one shot.
Thanks in advance,
Jake
