Dollar sign bounces?

Hi all:

I'm trying to figure out why posts with a dollar sign in the message body 
get bounced from my lists.  I've ensured that the dollar sign is not in my 
list of taboo body or taboo header terms.  Is there some default filter 
somewhere I'm not aware of?
