You are correct, the sender is the person, and not the list or list-owner.
Majordomo never "originates" a message, only humans can do that. Therefore,
the "From:" is the human email address and not the list address.
As for your aliases, I would add some slight changes here and there. I will
unquote lines that I make changes too.
