majordomo install

hi,
Is it possible to install Majordomo on a different machine than the Mail

server (the one on which  Sendmail is running) ?
If it is possible, what are the drawbacks ?
I am trying to understand and test Majordomo , and I don't what to mess
up my production Sendmail
