This sounds more like a permissions issue with Sendmail than an issue with Majordomo.

As I see it, you should have two options:

1) - Within the sendmail.cf file, you can set the O (option) DontBlameSendmail to equal groupwritabledirpathsafe (see syntax below)

O DontBlameSendmail=groupwritabledirpathsafe

2) - Change the options (chmod g-w) for the directory containing the lists, in your case it would be:

#chmod g-s /home/majordomo/majordomo-1.94.5/lists
