Hello everyone,
I hope this is the most appropriate place for this question. I've
searched through the archives and read various FAQ and documentation and
haven't really seen anything that matches. So here goes:
I'm setting up a mailing list using majordomo-1.94.5. I run the server
and have configured everything on my end, and everything seems to be
working great. The problem is that the group that's migrating over to my
server needs to be able to use HTML href tags inside the message_header
and message_footer fields. When they place the tag within this
configuration block, it is transmitted "as text only," as opposed to a
link with text that points to a remote server (which tallies the
click-throughs, I guess). For example:
<a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=
khWElg0QDnc&offerid=26018.10000004&type=1&subid=0">
Click here to buy a Handspring Visor!</a>
<IMG border=0 width=1 height=1
src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/
show?id=khWElg0QDnc&bids=26018.10000004&type=1&subid=0">
(I put the above within a 80 character line so it wouldn't look evil on
the mailing list...but I've tried all on one line as well, to no avail.)
I guess they want to have click-through ads within the e-mail messages (I
think they most desire to place this in the message_footer...but I'm sure
that the header and footer have similar logic under the hood).
Is there a way to do this within Majordomo? It's one of those "show
stopper" type of things for this group I'm trying to assist. I'm the most
familiar with Majordomo and would not enjoy switching to another list
server software.
Thanks in advance,
