problem with a "closed" policy on Solaris?

I am having problem with the configuration policy for a majordomo
mailing list on a Solaris 7 sparc system running majordomo 1.94.5 
with perl, version 5.005_03 built for sun4-solaris and sendmail 8.9.1a.

The problem is that even though "closed" is specified for the
unsubscribe_policy in the "list".config file, majordomo appears to
be acting as if if the unsubscribe_policy is "open" and people
can unsubscribe themselves.

Meanwhile the closed subscribe policy works correctly on the
Solaris system...

I am not having this problem on a HP-UX 10.20 system running
majordomo 1.94.4 with perl, version 5.005_03 built for PA-RISC1.1 with
sendmail sendmail 8.9.1a.

Any suggestions or ideas?
