Greetings,

We are in the process of switching from our old
majordomo host to the one I just created.
I haven't switched yet, because I'm about to go
out of town for a couple weeks. The new list
seems pretty flawless.

Surely there are others out there who have
switched their list hosts. I'd like to find out if
there is a web page on the great circle site
or somewhere else on the web with tips and
tricks to make the transition a smooth one.

Basically we are switching from mylist@old.host to
mylist@new.host.

This is how I planned to go about it:
1. Copy and paste addresses from old host lists to new host lists.
2. Put a temporary header in the new list that asks people to
change their filters/addressbooks, etc on their mail clients.
3. Make mylist@old.host and mydigest@old.host
into auto-replies that ask the senders to
'please resend your document to
mylist@new.host, and hey, you are already subscribed to
mylist@new.host - sorry for the inconvenience but
thanks for participating,' etc.
4. Have the mylist@old.host also cc me a copy of the
autoreply so I can follow up if there are any problems.

If there are better methods, I'd really like to know!

Best regards,

Chris
