Roger:
First, thank you so much for responding so quickly! The operating system is Linux with kernel 2.2.12-28. Should I just manually edit
the aliases file? For the "YOURHOSTNAME" would that be mydomain.com? I'm fairly computer literate but new to this area -- how do I
go about running newaliases?
Thanks again for your help!!
Susan

There wouldn't be -- only a pointer to the location of the aliases file.

Hm. And you're running 8.11.x? What OS? No matter -- that's the right
file.

This tells sendmail to deliver all mail to "mylistname" to the people in
the file. Since no part of Majordomo is actually invoked in the delivery,
it can't enforce any policies.
What you should have is:
> mylistname: "|/usr/lib/majordomo/wrapper resend -h YOURHOSTNAME -l
> mylistname mylistname-list"
> mylistname-list: :include:/var/lib/majordomo/lists/mylistname
...which tells the Majordomo "resend" program to preprocess the list
delivery.
Make the changes, then run "newaliases".
