auto reply question

Hi, all
I have a question about how majordomo handles auto reply. It seems to me
that any auto reply sent to a mailing list will cause a endless loop. This
actually happened recently to one of mailing lists that I am maintaining.
The strange thing is, not all auto replies cause this problem. Some of
them are forwared to the list owner instead of the list itself. Can
anybody enlighten me on this issue and provide any suggestion on how to
avoid the loop from happening? Thanks.
