Now that we've gotten to bulk_mailer, i'm curious if i'm doing this correctly:
I have bulk_mailer-1.13 for FreeBSD (any more recent version out
there for FreeBSD?) and the following configuration:
testlist: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper resend -h domain.com -l
testlist testlist-outgoing"
testlist-outgoing: "|/usr/local/bulk_mailer/bulk_mailer
owner-testlist@domain.com /usr/local/majordomo/Lists/testlist"
owner-testlist: listmaster
testlist-request: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper request-answer testlist"
testlist-approval: listmaster
But when I send email to testlist@domain.com, it doesn't got o the
list. If I go back to the old settings of
testlist-outgoing: :include:/usr/local/majordomo/Lists/testlist
Then everything works fine. Anything you see i'm doing wrong?
The goal here is that my list of 8000 opt-in users (distribution
list) is getting bounced by yahoo and excite and MSN as spam becuase
of the # of recipients to their domain per message. I believe
bulk_mailer is supposed to fix this by restricting the # of
recipients/message, correct?
Thanx much for the help!
