I could look at majordomo.pl for several years, and I still wouldn't know.
PERL is still on one of my many 'to learn' lists...

However looking at it, I see the line:- 

$DEBUG = $main'DEBUG;

... quite near the start. 

Any idea what this is for or how it works?
