This question/request has come up many times on this list. Setting the To:
field with each subscriber's address would require an individual message for
each subscriber rather than one message to all subscribers and would generate
far to much overhead for the MTA, escpecially for large lists with over 2000
subscribers. Could you imagine sendmail trying to clear/deliver a queue with
that many messages in it all at once? Then compound that for a busy list that
gets dozens of messages per day.
If you want this kind of load on your system, you will either have to hack the
code, or convince someone to hack it for you.
