Bruce,
I, too, have just set up a majordomo list on addr.com. The information we get
from addr.com is rather limited (actually just a link to a UK website on list
commands). The first thing I learned was that the list name in the file that
creates the list in my user directory cannot contain any capital letters. Once
I changed the list name from JCCA to jcca, I was able to send commands to
majordomo@japanesechin.org without getting an error message that says "list
unknown". You seem to be way ahead of me, in that I have yet to get any notes
to bounce, let alone be posted. So far, I have only a couple of email
addresses subscribed (all mine), and no notes going through. After reading the
FAQs, and looking all over the majordomo website, I am still unsure of what I
can do to make a message go through to all subscribers. My list name is jcca
at the domain japanesechin.org. When I send a test note to
jcca@japanesechin.org, nothing happens. If I send a command to
majordomo@japanesechin.org, I get a response. How have you gotten messages to
go through? BTW, my config file was set up by the addr.com folks, and I have
not changed anything there.
