Another thing to do is to see if you can get Majordomo to run at a lower
priority. I could be ignorant and it does anyway, but I haven't read that
closely in to how it runs. Most perl scripts run in a high priority state
and they will eat up CPU cycles in a big way. Linux is pretty good about
process scheduling, but I've notice that if a Perl script is taking any
time to run at all, performance will take a hit.
