I realize this is more of a *nix question, but it is vital to my handling of
the list digest processing on my system.

In order to send out Digests at the end of every day, as I have it set up to
do, I have a CRON job for each Digest, saying something like

echo mkdigest <list-digest name> <list-digest password> | mail
majordomo@localhost

How can I set this up so that <list-digest password> is not the password
EXPLICITLY, but points to the file where the password can be read?

I suppose this is a BASH (Bourne Again Shell) problem, but I have been
through all the docs, and cannot for the life of me discover how I can read
in the password from the password file. I want to do this so that, if the
list owner ever changes a password for his list-digest, the CRON job won't
be broken. I have more to do than to remember to go into the CRON scripts
and edit them every time this happens.

Any input is appreciated.
