Changing confirm message

I don't know if I'm searching for the wrong terms or what, but I can't find
any information about changing the confirm message for a list.

Is it possible to do?  I need it on a per list basis, so changing the
default will do me no good.

In addition, I thought I've seen majordomo lists where the confirm message
has the auth info in the subject, so that a reply to the message (changing
no data) will work.  Currently the list I'm work on requires that make sure
just the auth line is in the message.  Can this be changed?
