MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!

I've seen lots of references to this particular configuration
problem in the archives and they mostly mention that it is a problem
with the majordomo.cf file, but nothing points me at how to track
down the problem.

Here is the specific message:

MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!

Majordomo@conjelco.com: not replying to MAILER-DAEMON to avoid mail loop.

Can anyone help me track this problem down? The various aliases seem
to be set up correctly.
