I couldn't find anything about this in the archive, but then it's
apretty tough thing to search email messages for since it'll pop up in
every one. 8-)
I've had a request from a user to have the announcement list I'm running
put the recipient address instead of the list address in the To: field.
I had a look in majordomo.cf which seemed to set up a basic sendmail
command and provide a $to variable (that I'm assuming contains the
recipient address). I plugged it into the command line, but didn't get
any change in behaviour. I guess $to actually contains the To: field
from the posting.
I have two questions:
Is there any reason I shouldn't be trying to do this in the first
place? For the user it would make it easier for them to avoid spam by
refusing anything not directly addressed to them.
How the heck do I do it?
I'm using majordomo 1.94.4, sendmail 8.11.4, perl 5.005_03 on FreeBSD
v4.? (did an update and make world a couple of months ago).
Thanks for any help you can offer.
