Maybe your own new script will have the same "bug" if it is based on
sendmail. As far as I remember this problem has been discussed several times
on this list. It is because sendmail is not ready with delivery before the
next queue run. There are several options how to avoid this problem:
- Sort the list for quicker delivery
- Run the queue less often
- Use an other program for delivery like bulkmailer
