Perhaps the testing was invalid. Did any of the tests include domains
that might not be up 24x7? Did any of the test addresses live on
servers with anti-spam filters preventing delivery to more than 15 users
per message?

Did majordomo deliver the messages for delivery to sendmail? If so, I
would look to your sendmail configuration before blaming majordomo.
Have you ever used sendmail to send the same message to 10,000 users
before? How did that test perform? Majordomo just hands messages to
sendmail for delivery. Sendmail must be configured to support the
load, time the queue runs, and translate addresses properly.

Did you examine the majordomo-users archive for possible "bottleneck",
"slow delivery", or "duplicate message" matches? Did you check FAQs,
READMEs, or other news groups in this regard. If you did not do your
research, perhaps your managers have reason to "blame" you. I have
successfully run lists as large as 45-50k users using majordomo but
sendmail was tweeked, and bulk_mailer implemented.

We are more than willing to answer questions that are asked here, but
you can't assume that because we answer something about majordomo or
it's capabilities, that we know or assume your sendmail configuration
is already tested, tuned, and working properly. Make sure your finger
is pointing blame in the right direction, and good luck with your
scripts in the next 2 days. Perhaps you will share them with the
internet community when you are done to save others the embarassment
you are experiencing right now.
