Here's an easy one for you.
How do I change the config file on a moderated list so the messages appear
to come from the original sender?
Actually, it's not part of the config file. You do this as part of
moderation. Unless I am misunderstanding your problem.
A message comes in to me for moderation.
I hit "forward."
I add my header on top (insert a premade file), get rid of the forwarding
header, edit out some other crud, and then edit the original message if
desired (like if they quoted too much of a previous message or the
formatting is off, I also change subject lines to be informative).
Send it off.
Here's an example. Say I wanted to send your message to my Immune mailing
list. Note that "--text follows this line--" is the way my mailer tells
the difference between header and body. Basically, anything above there is
header and the rest is part of the body. The MD software will do the right
thing with it. Leave a blank line between the header you want and the body
you want.

Make sense?
