Welcome message

I would like to be able to put a custom welcome message for a list 
(intro file?) before the generic welcome message.
Where in the code is the Welcome message getting pulled from?
Is there more detail in the docs on intro vs info file (am I correct in 
concluding that the info file is the file that will be pulled if a user 
asks majordomo for list info, and that this file will be sent on 
subscription unless there is an intro file in which case the into file 
is sent?
