Your message was not "To" or "Cc" the majordomo list, so I hope you are
subscribed to majordomo-users receive this answer.
The majordomo.cf file has standard/default filters which include
/^subject:\s*help\b/i
This filters any subject line with help as the first word in the subject.
Comment out this line, or test again, putting another word before help on
the subject line when you test. Your other choices are to rewrite this
filter, or disable administrivia for your list.
This will only capture subjects with help as the only word on the line;
/^subject:\s*help\s*$/i
Setting "administrivia = no" in your list's config file disables the
filters in the $admin_headers and $admin_body sections of the
majordomo.cf file.
Now that you have answers, consider the application. The capture/
filter of "help" subjects was intended to prevent people from asking
for help about majordomo or the list itself. Imagine a list with
9,000 members, and one of those members forgets how to unsubscribe
from the list. They send a message to the list address with a
subject of "help", and a body of "I want to get off this list". Now
all 9000 members get a copy of this message. Is that what you want?
