I will assUme you are creating groups by touching a filename in all lowercase
letters in the majordomo/lists directory as the majordomo user, and creating
the appropriate aliases as root.

Uhmmm, `cd /etc/smrsh; ln -s /majordomo/wrapper`?
/majordomo/wrapper is root:majordomo and 4755?

The Log file should be recreated with proper permission just by running
the `wrapper config-test`.

MTA is mail transport agent. (program that listens for SMTP on port 25)
Default RedHat uses sendmail.
