Daniel,
Thanks, Excellent Idea!
In trying this I discovered Hotmail won't display any more of the web savvy
link than the majordomo\@$whoami as a clickable link. But I discovered also
that I still have permission problems. So I'll just start a new thread.

You "could" edit the ~majordomo/majordomo file between lines 1620-16??
to read; (+ signs in column 1 indicate new text)
Someone (possibly you) has requested that your email address be added
to or deleted from the mailing list "$list\@$whereami".
+A confirmation message is required to complete this request.
If you really want this action to be taken, please send the following
commands (exactly as shown) back to "$whoami":
auth $cookie $cmd $list $subscriber
+If your email client is web savy, you can click the following link to
+properly fill out an email with all the correct commands to confirm
+your request, then click "send".
+
+mailto:majordomo\@$whereami?subject=Confirm&body=auth%20$cookie%20$cmd%20$l
ist%20$subscriber&body=END
+
If you do not want this action to be taken, simply ignore this message
and the request will be disregarded.
I have also created this as a patch/diff file. For anyone interested, it is
attached to this message.
