From the config file for any list...

        # subject_prefix       [word] (undef) <resend>
        # This word will be prefixed to the subject line, if it is not
        # already in the subject. The text is expanded before being used.
        # The following expansion tokens are defined: $LIST - the name of
        # the current list, $SENDER - the sender as taken from the from
        # line, $VERSION, the version of majordomo.
subject_prefix      =

If you want the name of the list prefixed in the subject of messages;

subject_prefix      =	[$LIST]

If your subscribers are looking for headers to filter the messages
with, they could also do something like "if (To or Cc) contains <listname>
then file to <folder>"
