Good morning! I was greeted with two errors this morning after creating a
digest mailing list for the first time last night. The first is as follows:

.........................................................................

----- The following addresses had transient non-fatal errors -----
"|/usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5//wrapper digest -r -C -l macosx-digest
macosx-digest-outgoing"
    (expanded from: macosx-digestify)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
wrapper: Trying to exec /usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5/digest failed: Permission
denied
Did you define PERL correctly in the Makefile?
    HOME is HOME=/usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5,
    PATH is PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/ucb,
    SHELL is SHELL=/bin/sh,
    MAJORDOMO_CF is MAJORDOMO_CF=/usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5/majordomo.cf
451 4.0.0 "|/usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5//wrapper digest -r -C -l macosx-digest
macosx-digest-outgoing"... Operating system error
Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours
Will keep trying until message is 5 days old

.........................................................................

No problem; I just fixed the permissions on /usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5/digest
to 755 (previously no one had execute permission for some reason.) But
after fixing this problem, I got the following error:

.........................................................................

MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_digest)!!

open(MSG, ">/usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5/digest/macosx-digest/001"): Not a
directory

.........................................................................

It appears that the digest script is attempting to create the digest in a
nonexistent directory (i.e. in /usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5/digest, which is a
perl script and not a directory.) However, I looked through the script and
at a quick glance didn't see anything that might be causing the problem. My
lists directory is /usr/bin/majordomo-1.94.5/lists, if that helps. What am
I doing wrong and how can I fix this?

Thanks,
Brent
