Hello all -

I'm trying to set up a moderated list here without much success.

When I set moderate = yes, messages still aren't bounced to the moderator
for approval... they just get sent to the list.

I've tried setting the restrict post file to blank, but that doesn't seem to
affect anything.

Please help.

Thanks,
Alan

Your commands should not go through the list. Did you perhaps send them to
the list adress (mylist@mydom.ain) instead of majordomo
(majordomo@mydom.ain)?

Try mylist.admin as password (replacing mylist with the real name of your
list). Maybe that's the initial password.

If you are using MajorCool you will see that. MajorCool does not hide its
name.

Have a look at subject_prefix in the config file of your list.

Bounced mail should go to the address given at the moderator statement in
the config file or to the list-approval address if that statement is not
set. If it is not going to you, you are probably not the moderator of the
list. Try to mail to mylist-approval@mydom.ain and check if your message is
coming back to you.

You cannot tell majordomo you are the owner of a list unless you change the
alias database.
