No that was not it.

I also tried setting the listname-ower to a local user alias, but I still get the same result. The bounce message is always from me
and not from the list-owner.

Thinking about it, it can't be picking my name up off the server, so it seems to be picking it up from my local account with my ISP
(I think) to whom all my mail is forwarded, and from where I download it.
