When you send and approved message to majordomo, all lines up to and
including the approved: header are removed. If Eudora is getting it's
date information from anywhere other than the "Date:" line, you may have
to leave more header information in your messages. Your other option is
to change the format of the "Date:" information so that Eudora can read
or understand it.
This is the format for the Date: line as I see them in Communicator;
Date: Tue, 09 Apr 2002 19:41:53 -0400
which is quite a bit different from what your "expert" told you to
provide. This is also what I see as the format of the date info
on the free webmail sites, as long as I choose to display FULL
header information. Your sample header information does not
include "time and timezone and/or offset from GMT" information
which should also be in a Date: header.
This is the same line from Communicator (different message)
as saved in the Sent folder;
Date: 29 Apr 2001 13:01:30 -0500
What I see from this and from services I subscribe to for email,
the "Day of week" identifier is optional, the date itself is in
day month year (2-digit 3-letter 4-digit) format and is required,
the time is also required in a 24 hour format of HH:MM:SS. The
(time zone) or -nn00 offset from GMT are also optional.
