Jay;
I forwarded your message regarding the AOL 7.0 problem to another group I am
a member of. Here is the solutions that one of the members is using.
____________________________
We send plain text all the time to AOL 7 users and have tested on AOL 8
also. You might take a look at the MIME types in the email template. We have
a whitelisting w/AOL and do substantial volume. MOST of what we send is text
since most people choose text on their optin choices.
AOL has some very "interesting" idiosyncracies and requirements, but it's
quite easy to send decent text, multi-part or plain html emails to them.
There is also a way to shut off the AOL image warning for HTML emails (but I
can't tell you that and it breaks the email for everyone else). Anything
else, I'll be happy to assist, just email me privately.
Much of it revolves around exact control of the email template layout to
include line spacing in the header area. If you don't control that part, I
can't help you. If you do, I can send you a working template sample.
