I don't think anyone here has a problem with the concept behind "spam cop"
services in general. I have two issues with the matter at hand:
(1) This particular service requires that each and every person who wants to
communicate with an individual to register with him first. Due to the volume
of mail that I have to deal with, I would not be able to register with
everyone that I send legitimate mai to.
(2) This person subscribed an email address that requires such registration
to a public email list. As a result, no one can use the mail list without
either dealing with his reverse-spam or registering with him. This is the
height of arrogance if it isn't the depth of ignorance.
Personally, I just added the spamarrest domain to my access file as refused.

I think as the spam problem becomes worse, we are going to see more and
more of issues like this :(
Personally I'm using SpamCop & SpamHaus to check everything via sendmail on
the inbound side. It's cut spam about 90% on my servers and so far I
haven't seen anything legitimate blocked.
