Subject: Problems with majordomo
My adress mail is set up as majordomo-owner and I receive messages with
MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!
firstname.lastname@example.org: not replying to MAILER-DAEMON to avoid mail
I don't know what happend with my majordomo. How can I get a solution
for this problem?
I made a ./wrapper config-test and all is OK. Moreover the lists that I
have in my server is Ok.
I thank your help.
Majordomo will do that if the e-mail that it was sent
was sent from an address containing any of the following
words: mailer-daemon uucp listserv majordomo or listproc immediately
prior to an '@' character. All those are consider mailer
robots and majordomo is trying to avoid a mail loop
which might be caused by replying to a mailer robot that might
then reply back to majordomo, etc. Take a look at the
log and see what the e-mail address of the incoming mail was that
caused this error. What majordomo is doing is correct.
There is no problem except for whoever/whatever sent majordomo
the message. There's nothing you should do regarding majordomo
on your server. It's working as designed and intended,
If you find the e-mail address that casued the error, you
_may_ want to consider sending an e-mail to that address
advising that their e-mail to your majordomo server was
ignored. That message may be bounced or ignoredbut at least
it will be coming from you not majordomo so no mail loop
