I've got a server at tharasix.com that I want to set up with Majordomo.
It's a Redhat 7.1 server, running sendmail 8.11 and majordomo-1.94.5.
I went through the INSTALL file and set everything up properly, or so
I thought. I accidently ran wrapper config-test as root, but I then ran
it again as a normal (not majordomo) user and everything looked OK. I
hope that didn't botch things up much.
Anyway, when I touched /usr/local/majordomo-1.94.5/lists/test and ran
echo 'list' | mail majordomo, I got the following bounce from sendmail.
The first peculiarity I find is that it was sent to
firstname.lastname@example.org. I don't know how that extra tharasix
got in there. I know a bit about perl, and my majordomo.cf file should
make it email@example.com, which is what I set the owner to be.
I should also note that I followed the instruction in the sendmail FAQ,
since this seemed to be an alias problem:
but that didn't seem to lend a solution.
I hope somebody on this list could give me a hand on this problem.
Here's the bounce:
