Hi Durai,

 

There isn't anything wrong with your Majordomo installation.  The user and group creation is a prerequisite for Majordomo.  There isn't anyway to get around having to create these two items.

 

The only suggestion I have is that if you are in the position of setting up many Majordomo systems and want to speed this process up, create a script which among the other configuration prerequisites, creates the user and group IDs as one of the first steps.

Hello experts,

 

 I installed the majordomo-1.94.5 in HP-UX.The User id number : 200 and Group id Number 200.
I put all the installed files in another HP-UX System as the same installed format already.

 

Here the problem comes:

 

In the another HP-UX system, there is no user in uid 200 and group id 200. what to do? The Error comes like "Unknown User".

 

After I create the user with 200 and group id 200, the majordomo works fine.

 

Is there any other way for majordomo executables works in another system without doing extra works( like user creation and group creation ).

 

Please help me.
