The non-member submissions will most likely be spam. You DO NOT want to send
automated replies to those.
An automated reply to an individual could be mystifying. Are you going to
create one for every possible circumstance? No matter what you do, some will
require the personal touch. It's better to send nothing till you have the time
to give it the proper attention.
If it regularly takes you more than a day to deal with bounces, the real
solution is another volunteer to help with list administration.
