In light of all this that's happened (and trust me, it happens everyday on
thousands of other lists) could we build something into our list managers to
allow new users to send test submissions? Somehting like:
Send a message to list@example.com with the words "TEST" in the subject and
the words "Testing" in the body of the message.
And then majordomo or plugin-your-list-manager-here would verify the email
address against the list of users able to submit to the list and send a reply
to the user that their test was successful without sending the message to the
list. (whew...say that three times fast)
