Trouble with config footer in HTML mails

Hi!

 

I have configured a mailing list to use a standard footer. In the config file it looks like this:

 

message_footer        <<   END
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a footer text

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
END

This footer follows nicely when sending out mails in plain text format (or using rich text that will be converted to plain text)

 

However, it does not work when sending HTML mails.

 

I want my footer to work both with HTML and plain text mails. How can I achieve this?
