Errr... It appears that I was a bit naive in sending a request for a method on how to conceal an Email source without a thorough explanation. I agree with your remark about spammers entirely and I jst didn't think that my request might be interpreted in such a way... idiot me.
I run a very specialised list for a group of students and a few experts get copies (forwarded by me) - with the approval of the students. However we have over 5000 students world-wide and with the best will in the world you never know if you are going to have someone who would take advantage of being able to access the experts email address.
So what I wanted to do was enable the experts to access the messages directly and reply to any where they thought the students were going wrong, and correct them, without revealing their email address.
As I said, at the moment I do this be forwarding any emails that *I* consider interesting, contentious, wrong or whatever to my little panel of experts, using my own email address. They then respond to me, I produce a digest by hand and post it to the list.
At the moment this requires me to do this about once every two weeks but it is on the increase and obviously doing what I describe above would save me some time.
