Sounds like an ownership/permissions problem to me.
On my system, 'wrapper' is SUID root.root (4755). Sounds like something
took away its SUID bit.
Also, is the 'majordomo' user defined as the SAME numeric UID/GID as
before? That's something that's compiled into the wrapper.
