What does the sendmail log (/var/log/maillog) have to say about deliveries
to the majordomo@hostname.org address? What is the result of a
`sendmail -bv majordomo@hostname.org`
command?
It would be my guess, that the majordomo user does not exist in the
/etc/passwd file, and/or is not defined in the /etc/aliases file.
On the other hand, it is possible, that hostname.org does not have an
MX or A record pointing to your majordomo server. If hostname.org is a
virtual domain on someother.com, they might be misconfigured to support
your majordomo server.
