I appreciate all of your help. It is now working, though I'm not sure if
I did something entirely new or if it's just because I'm a complete and
total baffoon. Probably a little of both.
First, my "problem" with aliases not working was this: I have a simple
procmail spam filter that sends all mail that doesn't have my email
address on the "To:" line to a pine box "SPAM" -- that includes this list,
actually (I'm too lazy to make a new recipe). That also included all of
the forwards from the server I was setting up Majordomo. The lesson as
always is that I'm an idiot. Blaow!
But, there was another problem that earned me a bruise on my forehead from
headbanging things... keyboard, stone wall, passing cars... The "wrapper"
wouldn't work unless I *cp*ed it to /etc/smsrh -- no ln -s would work.
Took too long to figure that out.
Learned a lot, so it's a wash. Now to go see if life still exists outside
these four walls.
