I managed to find the problem. Apparently Sendmail 8.12.10 really 
doesn't like the $mailer and $bounce_mailer commands in 
majordomo.cf--specifically the "-oee" switch that sets the error mode 
of sendmail. Simply removing this switch caused everything to work 
properly!
